The team at an East Yorkshire brewery are celebrating after reaching the final of a regional business award.
Wold Newton-based Wold Top Brewery has been shortlisted in the Rural Event of the Year category in the seventh Yorkshire Post Rural Awards.
"The tours and events side of our business is going from strength to strength so we're very pleased that our beer festival has been shortlisted for this prestigious award," said brewery director, Kate Balchin.
Wold Top faces competition from Yorkshire Agricultural Machinery Show, The Barn That Rocks and Rudolph's Run. The team will learn whether they have been successful at an awards ceremony at The Pavilions in Harrogate on Thursday, 28th September.
Wold Top was founded in 2003 and is located on the Mellor family farm at Hunmanby Grange. The team use home-grown barley and water from the farm's borehole to produce a range of award-winning cask, keg and bottled beers that are available throughout Yorkshire and nationwide. They also host a series of events throughout the year. Forthcoming events include the inaugural Wold Top 10k all-terrain race on 16th September and an Oktoberfest event on 30th September.
