Scottish Family Business Road Trip 2019

5th October 2018 Paul Andrews

Plans to put Scottish family businesses on the map gathers pace as the itinerary and sponsors for the 2019 Scottish Family Business Road Trip come together.

Following on from the success of the inaugural Scottish Family Business Road Trip last year, the team at FBU Scotland are working on the plans for the route for the 2019 Road Trip that is taking place from March 18-29, starting in Glenrothes and concluding in Glasgow.

As Paul Andrews, Founder and Managing Director of FBY Scotland explains, "This is a fantastic voyage of discovery for us as we get to visit and see family firms in their own place of work where their pride and passion comes to the fore as they show us around, tell their story and become part of the Scottish family business voice.  The trip last year was incredible and it was a privilege to visit so many great family businesses and we already have some great visits planned for 2019 which is going to be amazing too."

The two week tour of family businesses takes place in a liveried car supplied by Lookers Audi and David Hamilton, Lookers Audi Fleet Manager is looking forward to the trip.  "The Lookers Audi Fleet Team are proud to be sponsors of this year’s Scottish Road Trip, as there is no better way for Paul and his team to complete this road trip than in the comfort of a new Audi.  Family businesses play a very important role within the Scottish and UK economy with around 5 million family firms providing 12 million jobs."

As well as the car sponsors the Road Trip is being sponsored by Western Pension Solutions, PwC and the Universtiy of Strathclyde.  As John Anderson adds, “We are delighted to be sponsoring this innovative event, showcasing the very best of Scottish Family Business.”

Further details of the Road Trip will be announced in due course but if you are interested in a visit from the team then please do get in touch.
