Judges Announced For Family Business Of The Year Awards 2013

5th April 2013 Paul Andrews

Find out who will be making the decisions...

We have been delighted with the response to the inaugural Family Business of the Year Awards and to have such high calibre entries from all of the regions.  Judging is being done in two ways, online, and via a judging panel.

So, if you have not already done so and want to have your say, please vote by selecting the region and voting for your favourites here.

The second stage of the process is being undertaken on May 2 by an esteemed panel of judges, outlined below:

Chairman of the Judging Panel - Paul Andrews, Founder & Managing Director, Family Business United

Judges
Richard Lane, Head of Family Business, Farrer & Co
Penny Lovell, Head of Private Client Services, Close Brothers
Alexander Scott, CEO, Sandaire
Gary Deans, Head of Family First, KPMG
Lucy Armstrong, CEO, The Alchemists
Nick Carlisle, Managing Director, Platinum Portfolio Builder
Stuart Mclean, Managing Director, Zonal Data Retail Systems Limited
Michael Beavan, Guest Services Director, The Goring Hotel

Chairman of the judging panel and founder of the Family Business of the Year Awards, Paul Andrews, is delighted to announce the judges and looking forward to the event this year.  "We have selected a panel of experts in the field of family business who are well-versed in best practice for family firms and who will be able to judge the candidates accordingly, and balanced against this we have representatives of some great family firms too.  I am pleased to be chairing the panel but also glad that I am not judging those shortlisted as there are some outstanding family businesses represented and only one can win per region."

The awards will be presented at an awards ceremony on June 12 being hosted by Farrer & Co.
