Be part of a national campaign post ‘lockdown’ to celebrate the ongoing contribution of family firms to the UK economy.

Last year we created a fabulous montage of family firms in the shape of the Union Jack that really captured the heart of the family business community. With around 5 million family firms in the UK employing around 13 million people and generating around 30% of UK GDP we know that they are the ‘heart of the nation.’

As things improve and the economy recovers we wanted to have a campaign ready to celebrate these family firms, the engine room of our economy and the backbone of communities the length and breadth of the country.

Our 2020 #FamilyBusinessBritain campaign seeks to continue to put the family business sector on the map and this year we are inviting family businesses to join in by ‘taking a place’ in their region of choice in a large ‘map of the UK that is populated by images from family firms.’

All participants will receive an email in order to send across their selected landscape image (products, family, staff, delivery vans etc) that represents them as a family firm. These images will be collated as part of the map of the UK and made available to all participants to share in due course. We will also be using the completed graphics in numerous ways to celebrate the diversity, strength and ongoing commitment of family firms.

Family Business United is all about family firms and we really do hope that the family business community embrace this new initiative and help us to create something special to champion the sector and continue to put family businesses on the map.

Spaces are limited by region so family firms are encouraged to soon up early to secure their space.
