O’Donovan Waste Achieve ISO 39001 Certification

O’Donovan Waste has achieved another landmark by becoming the first dedicated waste
company to receive the ISO 39001 certification from BSI for the fifth consecutive year. The
ISO evaluates the management system of road safety and that seeks to reduce the number
of deaths and serious injuries from traffic accidents. O’Donovan is committed to continuous
improvement and this milestone demonstrates the huge focus on road safety that includes
the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) gold status which they have achieved for the
twelfth consecutive year.

To achieve the ISO 39001 certification, the company evidences its comprehensive safety
systems, demonstrating consistent processes in each of its operations, whilst streamlining
objectives and action plans that fulfil the requirements specified by the standard.

The ISO 39001 certification focuses on a management framework dedicated to enhancing all
areas of road traffic safety. O’Donovan has impressive road safety targets and objectives,
aimed at improving the already exemplar standards set, which is further enhanced by the
ongoing attainment of the ISO 39001 certification. The business continues to build on its
