Lincoln based entrance matting manufacturer Make An Entrance, has scooped the sought after Business Transformation Award at a glittering awards ceremony in London’s Canary Wharf.
Hosted by national treasure Huw Edwards, the Business Champion Awards 2023 were held at the beautiful East Wintergarden in the heart of the capital’s business district on Wednesday night 22nd March 2023.
From over 800 nominations, a very select group of just 28 winners were announced, meaning that Make An Entrance beat 96.5% of nominees to bring their award home.
The awards were established to offer a unique opportunity to showcase the best innovators, leaders and entrepreneurs in the UK, and these individuals were out in force at the spectacular event.
The Business Transformation Award specifically recognised those businesses that had faced significant challenges and whose leaders had seized the opportunity to completely overhaul the way they do things to achieve significant success.
Make An Entrance co-founders Samantha and Stuart Burlton impressed judges with the inspirational story of how they transformed their family business from a simple e-commerce operation to an impressive UK manufacturing operation, and in doing so prevented a traditional heritage skill from dying out.
Awards Director, Richard Alvin said: “Make an Entrance proved just what can be achieved when a company evolves and transforms to changing market conditions transforming their business for growth.”
Make An Entrance Co-Founder, Sam Burlton said: “We are absolutely blown away to come home with this award. The calibre of the other nominees in the Business Champion Awards was so high that we feel extremely privileged to have been chosen as a winner.”
“Business is hard work, and the journey we have been on to transform our business into a UK manufacturer has not always been easy. It is a testament to the hard work and determination of our entire team that today our business is thriving and we have been recognised with this prestigious award.”
