Arnold Clark is delighted to announce that they will become the exclusive Scottish retail partner of BYD.
One of their new Glasgow branches will be solely dedicated to BYD when it opens in early 2023 and is ready to welcome customers. Founded in China in 1995, BYD, also known as ‘Build Your Dreams’, started out as a battery maker and entered the automobile industry in 2003.
BYD ranked first in China’s EV sales for six consecutive years, from 2014 to 2019, while their cars can be found in more than 300 cities across over 50 countries and regions around the world. The partnership will mark another significant step forward in the UK’s shift towards EV’s and reinforce Arnold Clark’s commitment to achieving a net zero carbon future.
Arnold Clark will initially stock the BYD Atto 3 SUV, which is similar to the Volkswagen ID.3 and MG4. However, keep your eyes peeled with new models set to follow close behind. The BYD ATTO 3, made its European market debut at the Paris Motor Show, which Arnold Clark were there to witness first-hand.
BYD’s design team prides themselves on both the ‘quality and reliability’ of their vehicles, and it certainly shows. The spacious ATTO 3 is eye-catching with its distinctive silhouette and alloy wheels. Plus, with a 60.48 kWh battery, it boasts an impressive 261-mile range (WLTP).
The ATTO 3 sits on BYD’s bespoke EV architecture, the e-Platform 3.0, and features the manufacturer’s cutting-edge Blade Battery. The industry-leading battery is known for its advanced safety, optimised strength, longer range and a longer lifespan.
It was also recently awarded the five-star safety rating by Euro NCAP, Europe’s leading independent safety assessment programme.
