The construction sector in the UK is awash with family firms and Family Business United is delighted to announce a new awards programme that sets out to shine a light on the sector.
The Family Business in Construction Awards seek to identify the best family businesses in construction and will culminate in an awards evening in the spring. Further details will be announced in due course.
As Paul Andrews, Founder and CEO of Family Business United explains, “This is an exciting initiative that will highlight the contribution of a sector that is an integral part of the UK economy with categories that not only recognise businesses but also individuals within them. Categories within the inaugural awards programme are:
- Large, medium and small construction business
- Construction plant and equipment business of year
- Family business leader
- Woman in construction
- Apprentice
- Next generation family business leader
- Lifetime achievement
From the winners of each of the business categories there will also be one overall winner, crowned the Supreme Champion Family Business in Construction.
