Family Business Lifetime Achievement Finalists 2022 Announced

Family Business United continues to raise the profile of family firms and the contribution they make to the UK economy.  Family businesses would not exist if it were not for the underlying involvement of families and individuals within these businesses and the Family Business Lifetime Achievement Award was created to recognise special individuals who have contributed so much to their own family business and created an incredible legacy too.

As Paul Andrews, Founder & CEO of Family Business United explains, “We regularly meet family members in their business who are inspirational and driven, passionate and committed and with the long term desire to pass the business on to the next generation in as sustainable a position as possible.  Family firms need ambassadors and the Lifetime Achievement Award seeks to celebrate the finalists, and ultimately recognise their contribution, with an overall winner each year.”

The finalists now in the running for the 2022 Family Business Lifetime Achievement Award are, in no particular order:

  • John Thatcher, Thatcher’s Cider
  • Samantha Bradford, Simplicity Financial Planning Ltd
  • Iram Gilani, Web Alliance
  • Mark Rowland, Lancashire Trade Frames
  • Wes Arbuckle, LINIAN
  • Ronald Coote, Coote Engineering
  • Maria Whitehead MBE, Hawkshead Relish
  • John Clothier, Wyke Farms
  • Trevor Annon, The Mount Charles Group Limited
  • Anne-Marie Cairney, The Victor Pizza Company
  • Jeremy Mathew, Dunsters Farm

Each finalist is worthy of their place which affords them recognition for their endeavours.

A panel of expert judges will review the submissions and deliberate to determine the winner who will be announced at the National Family Business Dinner that is taking place at Pennyhill Park, part of the Exclusive Collection which is a family owned business too, on September 22, 2023.

As Paul concludes, “There are some fantastic finalists, all of whom are great advocates of the family business sector and each would make a worthy winner of the award this year.  We look forward to announcing the winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award in September.”
