Immediately on the back of the crowning of the winners of the Family Business of the Year Awards 2021 we have been asked for details of the programme for 2022. Lots of planning goes into the programme each year and we are delighted to announce that the date is now set so put June 23, 2022 in your diary when the winners will be crowned next year. #FBOTY2022
Each year is special and if you have not yet seen the show where the 2021 winners were crowned you can watch it here.
In the meantime, although we are not going to determine shortlists until the end of 2021 with announcements in early 2022, provisional requests for entry can be made using the online form below. We will qualify all entries nearer the time and the closing date for entries is November 30, 2021.
We are also delighted to announce that there are two important changes for 2022 in that:
- A new regional category for Northern Ireland has been added to the programme
- Winners of previous Family Business of the Year Awards are not allowed to re-enter for the two subsequent years
We are already in discussion with a number of existing partners to renew their support and participation in the 2022 awards but do have opportunities for other parties to get involved in sponsorship and judging. Please use the contact form to get in touch and we will be delighted to provide you with further information on the opportunities available.
In the meantime, as Paul Andrews, founder of FBU and organiser of these prestigious awards explains, “Each year it is an honour to celebrate with some of the very best of British family firms. The quality and calibre of the finalists each year is incredible and it is a pleasure to champion the sector and to celebrate the collective contribution that family firms make in terms of jobs provided, income generated and wealth created.”
“It is a vibrant and entrepreneurial sector with organisations that are full of pride, passion and determination to succeed. These awards are a highlight of the family business calendar and each year crowns some great winners. Our Supreme Champion title is always a difficult decision with some exceptional ambassadors crowned each year. Arco, the Hull based family firm are the current holders but we are excited to see who will take the Supreme Champion title in 2022.”
“These prestigious awards are enhanced by the support of our sponsors and the quality and experience of our judging panel who come from all corners of the UK and represent family business representatives, leaders and previous winners, as well as some of the leading professional advisers and academics too. We could not do what we do without their ongoing support which is really appreciated and helps to determine the winners too.”
“We look forward to celebrating with more family firms next year and seeing the nominations/entries come in as the awards continue to go from strength to strength,” concludes Paul.
