Over the past year many firms in the hospitality and food service sectors have suffered significantly as a result of the pandemic. Many firms in this sector are family businesses and we wanted to do something to celebrate their endeavours and to provide a positive focal point for some of them moving forward.
From food and drinks producers to pubs, bakeries and cafes, we celebrate your efforts and have created the inaugural Family Business Food & Drink Awards in your honour. These awards will culminate in an awards evening in November and we look forward to crowning some great ambassadors for the sector.
Categories in the awards are:
Food Producer (More than 50 employees), Artisan Food Producer (Less than 50 employees), Drinks Producer (Alcoholic), Drinks Producer (Non-Alcoholic), Restaurant, Pub/Bar/Wine Bar, Cafe, Coffee Shop, Takeaway, Farm Shop and Bakery.
Entry is quick and easy so enter or nominate a deserving family firm using the form below. In addition, we are also looking for our ‘Hospitality Heroes,’ people that have gone above and beyond to make a difference over the past year so if you know of anyone from a family firm in the hospitality, food and/or drinks sector who deserves recognition please click here to nominate them for something special.
As Paul Andrews, Founder and CEO of Family Business United explains, “We wanted to support the sector in some way and these awards which are free to enter will hopefully shine a beacon of light on some great family businesses who through no fault of their own have had a pretty difficult year. We look forward to raising their profile and continuing to support businesses that are essential to communities the length and breadth of the country. In particular, we look forward to finding our more about their stories and to share them more broadly with the family business community, and of course, to crowning some great winners in November.”
Nominations are open until April 30 and shortlists will be announced in June with the awards culminating in an awards evening in November.
