Shop Family Business For Christmas Campaign

Family Business United is launching a new campaign to help family business this Christmas.  As Paul Andrews, Founder and CEO of Family Business United explains;  “The pandemic has meant that 2020 for many businesses has not been the year they envisaged but family firms are focused and resilient and are continuing to find new ways of working.  For many the digital agenda has also been fast tracked in 2020 and for many family firms the forthcoming festive season will also be their first with an online shop.”

“Furthermore, family firms are the lifeblood of many communities the length and breadth of the UK and we want that to remain. Our High Streets are precious but with restrictions and social distancing in place, it may not be as easy to shop in person this year, so remember to look out and support your local family businesses online too with our #ShopLocal #ShopEarly #ShopFamilyBiz campaign.”

“Research has proven that many long standing family firms remain in the location where they first began and they have been supporting their local communities through employment, income generation, wealth creation and philanthropic endeavours and now is a good time for us to offer them support too,”  continues Paul.

This campaign is open to all family firms and comprises a selection of web banners for use on social media platforms which can be tagged with links to local online shops.  As Paul continues, “Family Business United has been championing the family business sector of over 20 years and this campaign is simply another way to create awareness of the significance of the sector in the UK today.  There are more than 5 million family firms in the UK today and collectively they employ more than 5 million people and many need our support now.  We hope that this campaign will encourage people to buy their gifts, foods and festive treats online from local family firms and help these businesses to continue to survive and ultimately thrive for generations to come.”

To receive the complimentary pack of 9 web banners, family firms simply need to complete the form below to receive them.  Alternatively, a donation can be made online for them here to support our work to champion the family business sector.
