Littley Bay scooped the Health & Welfare title at the Family Business of the Year Awards (‘FBOTY’) organised by Family Business United (‘FBU’).
FBU celebrates family owned businesses across the UK, recognising the contribution they make in terms of employment, income generation and wealth creation and the national awards are the culmination of the award journey and a chance to really put family businesses on the map.
In the ‘virtual’ awards ceremony held live online, Littley Bay took the national Health & Welfare title and were worthy winners of the accolade.
As Paul Andrews, Founder and CEO of FBU explains, “The health and welfare category is often the most diverse and 2020 was no exception. All of the finalists do something incredible from caring for the young to the old to the development of innovative healthcare solutions. They are all amazing and have great stories to tell.”
“One firm stood out this year, Littley Bay. They bring together the community and provide something a little special. Community truly matters to them and so do people and they have worked hard to create a business that is absolutely devoted to family life in all its forms. This business struck at the very heart of what the Family Business of the Year Awards are all about. They care, they make a difference and although they may be at the start of their journey, they are already making a massive difference,” continues Paul.
As Gemma Turnbull, Director of Littley Bay confirms, “We are starting to believe that dreams really can come true, with a lot of hard work, sweat, tears, laughter and most of all with family at the heart of everything we do. This award from Family Business United is an award that we will treasure as a family, forever.”
