About Everards Brewery Ltd
Everards is a regional brewery based in Leicester and founded in 1849 by William Everard and Thomas Hull. It produces cask ales and owns over 160 tenanted pubs, mainly around the Leicestershire area.
William Everard brewed the first pint of Everards ale in 1849, and stated “No effort shall be found wanting in the production and supply of genuine ale of first rate quality”.
Today, over 160 years later, Everards Brewery is very much family run company with values that echo that of William Everard – We aim to provide first class quality goods and services to our customers. We firmly believe in combining innovation and modern technology with the best of traditional values and practices throughout the business, whether it’s customer service, brewing, or our pubs. “Tradition with ambition” as Chairman Richard Everard says.
Looking towards the future, Everards Brewery will stay firmly in the hands of the Everards family. We have long term plans to expand our pub estate and to increase the popularity of our ales both inside and outside our heartland, “concentrating,” to quote Richard Everard “on developing the business for the next generation.”
Our pub estate comprises over 170 pubs that vary from village inns to community locals. All our pubs are within our heartland, a 70 mile radius of our Leicestershire brewery and they are all tenancies. We have a number of pubs where we have partnered with other brewers to offer a wide range of local ales – we call them Project William pubs and Tiger is still available on their bars. Visit the Our Pubs pages to find a pub near you or Join Everards to find out more about running an Everards pub.
We brew high quality award winning ales and have a core range featuring Beacon Bitter, Tiger Best Bitter, Premium Ale Original and Sunchaser Blonde. We also brew a fast paced and innovative range of limited edition brews throughout the year. Full details of our range can be found in the Our Ales pages. All of our ales are brewed onsite in our modern brewery and we can also brew beers for others, utilising our expertise and quality control. Visit Contract Brewing to find out more.
We work with artisans to help them get their goods and services to consumers. One way we do this is by introducing them to our licensees so that customers can benefit from authentic, quality artisan products or services. In addition, we also support artisans to bring their business into our pubs or property.
