Business Address: Bruccianis, 5 Fox Lane, Leicester, LE1 1WT
Brucciani is now a third generation family business which has been delighting visitors to Leicester with superb coffee, sandwiches, snacks, cakes and lunchtime treats for over 75 years.
Several generations ago the first members of the Brucciani family walked from Italy to Scotland, making their way down the country to the wealthy shipyards of Lancashire selling ice creams. In 1937 Luigi Brucciani came to Leicester, where the booming hosiery and shoe trades provided an excellent place to establish an Italian coffee shop. Initially, Brucciani in Horsefair Street was a friendly place to meet and enjoy fabulous coffee but over the years the business has grown to offer a whole selection of beautifully prepared drinks and foods.
Brucciani is now a third generation family business which has been delighting visitors to Leicester with superb coffee, sandwiches, snacks, cakes and lunchtime treats for over 75 years. Luigi’s philosophy was to provide somewhere where friends could meet, eat and rest their feet in the centre of Leicester. It’s only today that we can see that he created much more than that for the fabric of Leicester.
At its core, Brucciani is an artisan bakery, producing breads, cakes and goodies that the finest patisseries and boulangeries in Paris or Milan would be delighted with. Don’t just take our word for it, we have several prestigious bakery awards which prove the point. Not only do we supply our own two cafés, but we have a wholesale trade serving local businesses with fresh, original produce every day. For those who can’t get to us, we come to them with five sandwich rounds providing hot and cold lunchtime snacks to office and factory workers around Leicester.
