FBU Partners With Growing Business Awards

16th March 2019 Paul Andrews

Family Business United ('FBU') is delighted to announce a new partnership with The Growing Business Awards.

The Growing Business Awards are the most credible and highly valued recognition of exceptional growing businesses. Now entering their 21st year they celebrate the strength, vision and resilience of fast-growing SMEs - these are the accolades that UK SMEs really want to win!

Since 1998, the Growing Business Awards have been bringing together and honouring some of the UK’s most outstanding entrepreneurs and high-growth businesses. Consistent high-quality of nominees, numerous categories and a finely-honed judging process have ensured the Growing Business Awards have made a name for themselves as a leading judge of past, current and future entrepreneurial success.

FBU are delighted to be partnering with the awards for 2019 which sees FBU Founder and Managing Director Paul Andrews as a judge on the 'Family Owned Business of the Year.  As Paul adds, "FBU is an unparalleled rallying point and voice for the family business sector with family firms at the very heart of our organisation.  We are delighted to support these awards and the bespoke category for family business of the year in particular.  Family businesses are the engine room of the UK economy, wealth creators, job providers and income generators and they also make a massive difference to communities across the country.  We are proud to champion family firms and support this award which will continue to help put family businesses on the map."

The Family Owned Business of the Year recognises world class family-owned UK companies that continuously exhibit exceptional growth, so who will take over the title that in 2018 was won by Food Attraction?

Open to all UK based family-owned businesses demonstrating exceptional achievement in the below:

Market leadership (in the UK and, if applicable, internationally)

  • Consistent, profitable growth
  • Scaleability of business
  • Positive or disruptive impact on industry/sector/marketplace
  • Undeniable customer engagement
  • Product/service innovation
  • Evidence of best practice in customer service
  • Excellence in people management and workforce motivation
  • Commitment to sustainability and local community

Award nominations are now open and nominations can be made here

As Paul concludes, "We look forward to crowning another great family business ambassador at the awards in November."
